THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO

Finally it is opening up in theatres all over the world receiving extraordinary reviews.

And Sweden as a location will never be the same. The national tourism organization Visit Sweden is celebrating the fabulous visibility of the glorious views of Stockholm and the frosty but magical landscape where Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara roam around in Fincher’s astonishing version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

The gala opening night in Stockholm on December 13th was as expected; large and glamorous, but still managed to keep the friendly atmosphere of the whole shoot. There was Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara on stage, and the Swedish opening night audience fell in love with Lisbet Salander’s ”hej hej” and the slightly Swedish accent of the new, more vulnerable Girl with a dragon tattoo in Mara’s interpretation.

Fincher and his crew found Sweden a country with easy government bureaucracy, hardly any paparazzi, free exterior locations, great good-will from all the local municipalities and people who helped out and - of course - great professional film-crews. More than 250 Swedes where hired.

We welcome them back in 2012.

Your new location has it all.

Welcome to Sweden.

Sweden has everything you’re looking for. Despite what you might have heard, it’s much closer than you think, easy to reach and a lot warmer than you might have imagined. Sorry, we can’t give you winter in July; but throughout much of the country, we guarantee it anytime from December to April.

True, Sweden is an ultramodern country with all the high-tech gadgetry and urban sophistication; but just off the superhighway you’ll find plenty of freely available, naturally wild and historically significant places that haven’t changed in centuries (or we’ll find them for you).

Parts of Sweden will make you think you’re in continental Europe (oh, how charming), but we have a lot more space and everyone speaks English. Your people will love it.

Whatever your needs, we can provide every conceivable film-production service or piece of equipment, delivered by dedicated, experienced crews and merited professionals, along with excellent value for your production dollar. We have fully equipped sound stages in four strategic locations.  And you will appreciate the fact that Swedes are renowned for efficiency, punctuality and getting things done.

Curious? Check out the links below for more details, or contact us and we’ll be happy to answer your questions.
